Favorite Website

My favorite website is with out question one of the most popular and successful websites ever made. I am talking of course about Google! Now say what you want, but Google to me is one of the most easy and user friendly websites ever created! I’ve been all over America! And I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t know how to work Google’s easy system. I even asked a homeless guy for the sake of asking him. He said that he was watching the news when Google was very first announced! Now that to me just shows that every homeless person has an amazing story. And some of them were apart of a few of the most amazing things mankind has ever come across. One of these things is, like I said before, Google.

Everyone can at least recognize the name. And almost everyone can sound it out. So if they have a computer accessible to them. Either they know how to search in Google or most of the time the opening page on the internet is Google. And it’s very simple! Its main purpose stands out like a black guy in the middle of albinos! (No offence! Just a metaphor) It’s the big bar that says, “search” right by it.

We can look up literally any website! Do anything! Google becomes the ultimate slave! (Hey you, yeah you! You should come let me know that you read this part. This is to test if you actually read these silly milli vanilli assignments of yours!) It has almost no limits, and can and will do anything for you with no question. Its main purpose is to serve you and help you with your needs. And I’ve never seen a website that achieves this goal better than Google.

You can compare Google to any website, and it’s better. You compare it to let’s say a movie website. The movie website has its own search engine. But you could put in a movie and it could say that movie is non existent. Or let’s say you found your movie. But the critics are using all these big and fancy words that you have no idea what the crap they are talking about. And then of course there’s all of those cumbersome links to go further into the website or to a “related website”.

Here is a small list of why I think Google is the best.

1. It’s ridiculously simple.

2. It achieves its main function with out flaw.

3. It’s user friendly. From a little kid to an old geezer.

4. It makes each day a holiday with its unique and humorous headers.

5. It has anything and everything you could possibly need.

6. Its success in the internet business is monumental.

So that’s why I think Google is the best ever. Again, that was just a small list.

I may be able to add a few more! There’s only googol amount of ways that Google is the best.

Note: “googol” is where the name Google came from (since Google has too much stuff that it can look up to count), it’s a one with ten zeros after it. So basically that was a joke. So you should laugh. waiting… waiting… thank you for your cooperation.

Moore's Law

For years things have been improving. Faster and faster things were coming out of the blue. Well this is because of something called, Moore’s Law.

It states that:

“The number of transistors and resistors on a chip doubles every 18 months

In other words, a product can and will double its productivity every eighteen months. If this were true! It would affect the entire world of consumerism. We are all consumers of some form or another.

One thing I consume a lot is music products. Everything is improving and changing in the music world. For a small example, there actually wasn’t an inventor of the distorted sound! Actually, the first time anyone had heard a distorted guitar was from a street performer in the early 1900’s. His amp was broken! When this distorted sound became the hip new thing, it was naturally high in demand! So guitar companies started making their amps distorted. Then there was the very first amp that could play both distorted and clean sounds! People bought this new item of amazing ness like crazy! They told a friend, and the friend told a friend, and soon everyone knew what was going on.

The exact same thing happened w/ the release of the iPod. At first it was a portable tape player, then a walk man! Those were a huge craze that swept the nation. Then out came this amazing new device that could hold tons of songs and you could choose what you wanted to listen to anytime! It was a phenomenon!

Every product we will ever see will / has started out small! But eventually (as Moore’s Law predicts) the product began selling and selling. You can think of almost anything that’s become mainstream / quota / normal society. Such as Starbucks, Wal-Mart, iPod, colored television! Everything has proven that Moore’s law exists.

Now, whether or not the fact of Moore’s Law will help or hurt society… well let’s be honest! No one knows! But it’s pretty much inevitable! People naturally (even with out them know it) push and encourage Moore’s Law. Our greed and natural consumerism is the soul creator of Moore’s law! We want the iTouch, we want that new car, and we want that tasty generic cereal brand! And of course us always wanting to improve things and make things better than anyone else’s. And when we do that, we find ourselves creating something that could very well be another chain link in the Moore’s Law theory.
